Identity Theft and Fraud
- Credit Card Fraud
- They can open new accounts in your name. They use the card(s), and when the bill remains unpaid - it goes on your credit report.
- They may change the billing address where your bills are sent, then use your account. Since you would no longer be receiving bills, it could be a while before your realize what has happened
- Phone/Utilities Fraud

 They can open new accounts for land and wireless phones in your name and run up charges in your name.
- They can use your name to get utilities and have the bills sent elsewhere.
- Bank/Finance Fraud
- They may open a checking account in your name and pass bad checks.
- They may take a loan out in your name.
- Government Documents Fraud
- They could get a driver's liscense or other official ID card in your name, but with their picture.
- They may file a fradulent tax return in your name.
- They could file for government benefits to be sent to them in your name.
